Muddy Hoof Farm - Preserving rare and Heritage Breed Poultry
About Us
We started raising Nubian dairy goats in New York in 2009. Soon after came the chickens, turkeys and ducks.
In late 2010 we decided we had  enough of New York and moved to rural Lubec, Maine. We had 4 cats, 1 dog, 9 goats, 8 heritage breed turkeys, a few Muscovy ducks, guinea hens and alot of different chicken breeds of various ages. It took us 3 trips in our mini van, but everyone made it safely.
It was and is alot of work maintaining and building structures to accomodate all of our animals, trudging through the snow with hot water to thaw frozen waterers, feeding the goats and the 25+ breeds of chickens, ducks  and turkeys, but it is a love and a passion we share.
